Efrain A. Jovel, E.A.
Has been doing taxes since 1980, and has been an Enrolled Agent since 1981. He started this business in the early 1980's to help the hispanic community in preparing their income taxes. He first started doing the preparation of income taxes from his home, but in 1983, his youngest daughter was born and there was no longer any more room in their home. So he moved to 1430 Guerneville Road, Ste E5, and has been there ever since. Because he is an Enrolled Agent he can help represent you before the Internal Revenue Service, which most Tax Preparers cannot do. Efrain Jovel is also a Notary Public. He has been happily married to Elizabeth Jovel for over 35 years and they have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Efrain was born in El Salvador and came to the United States when he was 12 years old with his mother and siblings.

Elizabeth Jovel,
Has been doing taxes with her husband since 1985. Mrs. Jovel is also licenced to prepare taxes by the State of California, (CTEC# A164903). Elizabeth Jovel has helped the hispanic community throughout the years, and continues to do so, by being the President of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for multiple years; being part of the Santa Rosa Junior College Foundation and part of the Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa Foundation. Elizabeth was born in Guatemala, and came to the United States with her brothers. She met Efrain in the mid 1970's in San Francisco, and have been inseperable ever since.

Has been doing taxes with her parents since 1998, when she first became licenced by the State of California. But she just received her Certificate of Enrollment, and is now considered an Enrolled Agent. Which means she can represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service, just like her father, Efrain. She began helping her parents in 1992 after school, as a receptionist and now helps them run the business. Elizabeth Cortina is also a Certifying Acceptance Agent for the Internal Revenue Service and a Notary Public. Elizabeth Cortina is Efrain's second child, and has been married to Ramiro Cortina for over 9 years. They have 2 children together, Julian who is 7 years old, and Caelyn who is 5 years old.

Cecilia Jovel-Pourghadir,
Has been doing taxes with her parents since 2003, when she first became licenced by the State of California, (CTEC# A113970). She is also the reason that we have been in our office since 1983, because she is the youngest child that forced our father to move! Cecilia specializes in solving issues arising from the Franchise Tax Board and she is also a Notary Public. Cecilia is Efrain's youngest daughter, and has been married to Ali Pourghadir for over 3 years, and now have a baby boy, Mateo Ali Pourghadir.

Our Employees
Jennifer Ocampo,
Has been working in our office since 2008. She began working as one of our receptionist, but because she was so efficient we chose to keep her here with us. She now manages the receptionist's we hire for tax season, fills out the Application for Unemployment, Form I-90's for Immigration and Form W-7, Application for ITIN. She also assists Elizabeth Cortina with the gathering of information related to Foreclosures and Short Sales, so that Elizabeth can prepare the income taxes. Jenny recently got married and has two sons, Jesus who is 5 years old and Isaac who in 1 year old.
